TV Series
    (July 11, 2007-May 27, 2011)
Aired on FOX (2007-2009) and in syndication (2010-)
Hosted by Wayne Brady (2007-2009) and Mark McGrath (2010-)
Premise: Game show where contestants sing along to a popular song with a band and must continue to sing it correctly when the band stops playing
Many of the contestants have lousy singing voices.
The contestants must sing the EXACT lyrics of the song, because the slightest mistake will get them penalized.
Many television critics and insiders compared it to NBC's rival show, 'The Singing Bee.'
In fact, the debut of this show prompted NBC to move the premiere of 'Singing Bee' from its original date in the fall to the summer.
As of the end of its primetime network run, no contestant won the top prize of one million dollars.
It has a higher cash prize than 'Singing Bee.'
It features a wide variety of music from several different decades.
The show also has three lifelines to help contestants, similar to 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.'
Poison singer Bret Michaels competed on the show for charity.
The show was spoofed during the 2007 Primetime Emmys with Kanye West and Rainn Wilson singing to West's 'Stronger.'
