Why they might be annoying:

They are neither from Manchester, nor are they an orchestra.
Andy Hull looks a lot like Zach Galifianakis.
A lot of their lyrics can be depressing.
The band are such avid NBA fans that they incorporated LeBron James into the lyrics of their song ‘Go.’

Why they might not be annoying:

Despite the serious nature of their lyrics, they throw in a few lighthearted songs into their live show, including a full band cover of the theme song to ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ and a song about how Andy wants to be best friends with 50 Cent.
Their 2011 album, ‘Simple Math’ added a wide variety of instruments including a string section to some songs and featured the Brooklyn Youth Choir on the track ‘Virgin.’
They have been praised for their dynamic songs and excellent live performances.
They do a lot of fan interaction with their fans on various social media sites.
