Her goal was to win the Meadow Lea Ironwoman Superseries by age 20 but due to illness among other things, she didn't achieved her goal.
She took a hiatus from surf life saving competitions because she was suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome.

She turned down a role on Baywatch because she wanted to remain focused on her surf lifesaving career.
While on hiatus from surf lifesaving she studied business at University.
She overcame her bout of chronic fatigue syndrome and got straight back into surf lifesaving competitions.
She ranked number 88 (1998) in FHM Australia's 100 Sexiest Women.
