    Recorded the albums ‘The Derek Trucks Band’ (1997), ‘Joyful Noise’ (2002), ‘Songlines’ (2006), ‘Already Free’ (2009) and ‘Roadsongs’ (2010)
    Nephew of Allman Brothers Band drummer Butch Trucks

Why he might be annoying:

    He was playing in bars as a pre-teen.
    He said he had mixed emotions about being compared with Duane Allman: ‘[It’s] a great compliment, but you don’t want to get lumped into one bag.’
    He wanted to leave the Allman Brothers Band as early as 2006, but stayed another eight years because ‘Family loyalty pulls you back in.’

Why he might not be annoying:

    Guitarist Warren Haynes said, ‘Derek is just amazing and always has been. From the time he was a kid, he was fearless – he would play anything you called out.’
    Before he was thirteen years old, he jammed with blues great Buddy Guy.
    In addition to guitar, he plays the sarod, a stringed instrument in classical Indian music.
    He appeared on the cover of ‘Rolling Stone’ as one of the ‘New Guitar Gods.’ (2007)
    After a live jam with B.B. King on the song ‘Guess Who,’ B.B. declared, ‘That is a good as I’ve ever heard it.’
