    One critic wrote: ‘Some said they didn't know how anyone would make this book into a movie; I don't know WHY anyone would.'

    He has to live in the shadow of his brother, a multi-millionaire philanthropist and Olympic bobsledder.
    He is probably the best-known writer from Sri Lanka.
    He's won many writing prizes.
