    During World War II, Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany surrounded the city with over 30 km of barbed wire to prevent resistance groups from both sides of the wire from cooperating together.
    Throughout its history, it has been struck by floods.
    It doesn't have any world-famous attractions.
    One of its bridges is called the Butchers' Bridge, which ironically has many padlocks symbolizing love locked on its steel wires.
    Its name roughly means 'beloved' in Slovenian.
    It was a renowned wine-trading center in the past.
    On the other hand, the 1895 earthquake resulted in a rebuild that turned it into the modern city it now is.
    Many historical artifacts are found in the Ljubljanica River, making it a popular place for treasure hunters to find treasure.
    It makes up for its lack of world-famous sights with a wide variety of architecture over the course of its history, cultural events, and green parks.
    It has one of the oldest philharmonic orchestras in the world.
    It has a rich history of advancements in medicine.
