    Died in a car accident at the age of 37

    He refused to wear a helmet during most of his NFL career.
    He left the Bears to spend his years on losing Eagles teams.
    He died too young.
    He led the NFL for the longest rushing attempt (29) in his rookie season.
    He also led the NFL for receiving touchdowns (5) in the 1934 season.
    He made a lot of trick plays against the opposition.
    He was known for having super-quick defensive charge.

    He played a role in the jump pass and tossed the ball to Bill Karr to score the winning touchdown for the Bears in the 1933 NFL Championship Game.
