    Wayne Fontana (birth name was Glyn Ellis; October 28, 1945-August 6, 2020), lead vocals
    Eric Stewart (January 20, 1945- ), guitar
    Bob Lang (January 10, 1946- ), bass guitar
    Ric Rothwell (March 11, 1944- ), drums
    Fontana left in 1965, was replaced as lead vocalist by Stewart
    Recorded the singles 'The Game of Love' (1965) and 'A Groovy Kind of Love' (1967)

Why they might be annoying:

    Fontana quit the band by walking off stage in the middle of their set.
    Their single 'Schoolgirl' was banned by the BBC for being too suggestive (1967).
    At the end of their career, the band was reduced to rushing out covers of contemporary US hits in hopes of beating out the originals in Britain.
    Fontana was charged with arson (February 4, 2007) after allegedly setting fire to a car with a bailiff inside.
    Fontana showed up at a court hearing dressed as the Lady of Justice, with a sword, scales, crown, cape and dark glasses, saying 'Justice is blind' (May 25, 2007).

Why they might not be annoying:

    Along with Freddie and the Dreamers and Herman's Hermits, they were part of a Mancunian hat trick, when bands from Manchester had back-to-back-to-back number one hits in the US.
    They rebounded (at least temporarily) after losing their lead singer.
    Stewart went on to form 10CC.
