Why she might be annoying:

    She posed nude for her photographer father.
    She was discovered when Conde Nast stopped her from walking in front of a car.
    Her appearance in a Kotex ad (1928) was so scandalous it prompted her move to Paris.
    After World War II, she 'entered a downward spiral,' rarely taking pictures, not promoting her work and suffering from depression.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She photogrpahed many of the leading artists and actors of her day, ranging from Picasso to Charlie Chaplin, Max Ernst to Marlene Dietrich.
    She was one of two women accredited as war correspondents by the US Army in World War II.
    She covered the London blitz, the liberation of Paris and the horrors of the concentration camps.
    After Germany surrendered, she was famously photographed in Hitler's bathtub.
