He is frequently listed as being one of the 'most corrupt members of congress.’
He shares his name with a comedian and a singer.
He has given hundreds of dollars of earmarks, to family and friends who contribute to his campaign.
Attorney Carol Lam was investigating him when she was one of the attorneys fired in the infamous Department of Justice firing scandal.
While traveling in Europe, he was treated to free meals which violated the rule of accepting gifts of $50.

Why he might not be annoying:

He speaks about wildfire prevention, since it is such a huge problem in California.
Although pro-life he angered some fellow pro-lifers by supporting family planning.
He is popular in his district receiving more than 60 percent in each election from 1980 to 2008.
