He followed in his father's (Steve DeOssie) footsteps becoming a football player.
The Giants most utilized him for a position where he was barely present on the field.
In a game against the Washington Redskins, he botched an easy snap causing Giants placekicker Lawrence Tynes to miss a field goal (December 3, 2012).
Like many professional athletes, he golfs in his spare time.

For three consecutive season, he was named All-Ivy League selection while playing at Brown.
He was part of both New York Giants championship teams that trounced the New England Patriots in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI.
As of 2012, he and his father are the only father-and-son duo to win Super Bowls playing for the same team.
He, Tynes, and punter Steve Weatherford are known for their humorous demeanor.
He often donates his earnings from his golf tournaments to charity.
He likes to see movies in his spare time, and he mentioned 'No Country for Old Men,' 'The Godfather,' 'District 9,' and 'The Artist' has some of his personal favorites.
