    Some said he did not have the constitution to be Pope.
    He was too much of an idealist.
    His name represented two of the Beatles.
    He picked the name John Paul to honor the preceding two popes.
    He wanted to rid the Vatican Bank of corruption.
    He refused to be carried to his coronation on the papal chair and refused to be crowned.
    He may have been murdered by corrupt Vatican officials who did not want the Bank situation investigated.
    There is a campaign to have him canonized.
