Why Moral Majority might be annoying
They decided what was pro or anti family.
They opposed abortion and homosexuality because it was anti family.
They wanted to censor anything that offended their version of the family.
They complained, bitched and moaned about every little thing that was none of their business.
They opposed nuclear disarmament (apparently nuclear weapons were pro-family).
They demanded creationism be taught in schools.
They blamed all of America's problems on liberals.
They discouraged their members from thinking for themselves while voting.
They were not actually a majority, but represented a fringe extreme right-wing elements.
Many of their leading members profited financially off of their religious views.
They broke evangelical tradition by challenging the culture of the time with the Bible.
A series of exposés on their movement by journalist Mike Clark were released (1981).
They helped sink the Equal Rights Amendment.
Their official website misleads its viewers by showing an old picture of Jerry Falwell that is not of his current form as a giant whale.
Jerry Falwell decided to revive it after President Bush's election victory (2004).
They tried to be a take off of Nixon's Silent Majority.

They helped register millions of voters.
They dominated the 1980's as the largest religious political advocacy group.
