He is often ignored by Steeler fans as being considered a franchise great, due to the fact he never played on a Super Bowl winning team.
He missed the majority of the 1986 and 1987 seasons due to injuries.
He spent the majority of his playing career on poor Steelers teams.
He was overshadowed by fellow receiver John Stallworth during his time in Pittsburgh.
His tenure with the Saints lasted only two games.

Why he might not be annoying:

He set an NFL record for punt return yardage by a rookie.
He once scored a touchdown after catching the ball in his facemask.
He earned the Steelers team MVP award twice (1985, 1989).
He played the final season of his career with his hometown Saints.
He signed a one-day contract with the Steelers following the end of his playing career, and pursued a career in finance in the Pittsburgh area.
