    Appeared in the film 'Even Cowgirls Get the Blues' (1993)

Why she might be annoying:

    She has a squeaky voice.
    She wrote a song about a squirrel that she called 'just one of the many allies that you see in day to day life.'
    She was largely overlooked until artists like Pearl Jam and Soul Asylum covered her songs for the 'Sweet Relief' benefit CD (1993).

Why she might not be annoying:

    She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis after developing numbness in her hands while on tour opening for Neil Young.
    After the release of the 'Sweet Relief' benefit CD to pay for her medical treatment, she established the Sweet Relief Fund to help other musicians with health problems.
    Rolling Stone said she 'possesses a naturally off-kilter mojo that is utterly charming.'
