Used the aliases ‘Count Surmont,’ ‘Count Tsarogy’ and ‘Count Welldone’

Why he might be annoying:

At various times, he claimed to be Italian, Spanish, Polish, Mexican and Turkish.
He was completely celibate.
He was never seen eating in public.
He hinted that he was a spy and a sorcerer.
He said he was immortal, and many people believed it.
It was said he knew Jesus, King Arthur, Columbus, Thomas Jefferson, and helped design the American flag.
He reportedly appeared all over the world after his death.
The last alleged sighting of St.-Germain was in 1972, when he would have been at least 279 years old.

Why he might not be annoying:

He spoke many languages fluently.
He was an excellent musician.
He was an accomplished chemist, and gave free medicines to the poor.
He scammed lots of rich people out of their money with his crazy stories.
He hobnobbed with many 18th-century notables, including George III, Voltaire, Frederick the Great, Catherine the Great, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Casanova.
Many people have dressed up as St.-Germain over the centuries, as a fun way of keeping his ‘mystery’ going.
