Four years after 'The Lazarus Man' was canceled, he sued Castle Rock Television for $1.47 million. That was the amount he would have received for the 2nd season of 'The Lazarus Man.' 'Lazarus Man' was canceled after the first season because he had a rare form of cancer, though he claimed he could have done the series (April 11, 2000).
The case was still pending when he died.
