The Resume

    (January 11, 1945- )
Born in Leicester, England, United Kingdom
Birth name was Anthony John Selvidge
    Keyboardist for Yes (1968-71, 1984-93, 2018)
Was also in the bands Badger (1972-74), Detective (1977-79), Badfinger (1979-81), CIRCA (2006- ), and Yoso (2009-11)

Why he might be annoying:

He was fired from Yes during the sessions for ‘Fragile’ over his reluctance to play synthesizers (1971).
He accepted a $10,000 payment from Yes’ manager in exchange for his royalties from the band’s first three albums.
He was engaged to Yes bassist Chris Squire’s stepdaughter Carmen – which, if it had led to marriage, would have made him three years older than his father-in-law.
    He chews gum while playing.

Why he might not be annoying:

He broke his foot when the band’s van ran into another car head on (November, 1970); it was still in a cast during the cover shoot for ‘The Yes Album.’
Unlike a lot of progressive rockers – or several of his fellow Yes members – he generally avoids drawn-out improvised solos.
He got on unexpectedly well with his replacement, Rick Wakeman, when they were in Yes together on the album ‘Union’ and subsequent tour (1991-92).
