Physician and instructor at Harvard Medical School
Town Meeting Representative in Lexington, Massachusetts (2005-11)
Green Party candidate for President (2012,2016)
In addition to her presidential campaigns, she lost campaigns for governor of Massachusetts (2002,2010), the Massachusetts House of Representatives (2004) and Secretary of the Commonwealth (2006).
She was arrested for trying to crash one of the 2012 Presidential debates, then compared herself to Sergei Udaltsov, a Russian dissident serving a four year sentence for his protesting.
She met with Vladimir Putin and denounced the United States’ human rights record while ignoring Russian human rights violations (2015).
She supported the Brexit vote, then changed her position to match the English Green Party, which supported remaining in the European Union (2016).
She said she would not just pardon Edward Snowden, but would put him in her cabinet.

Despite being a person with a brain who should know better, she insists there is no significant difference between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney or Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump.

She became the second Green Party candidate, after Ralph Nader, to qualify for federal matching funds.
She wants a ‘Green New Deal’ to create jobs in renewable energy.
She clearly puts the Green Party ahead of personal ambition: she offered to step aside if Bernie Sanders were interested in running as a Green.
