Why he might be annoying
He disappeared from Food Network programming after several discrepancies were found in his official biography.
His fictitious claims included he'd catered Prince Charles & Princess Diana's royal wedding and that he was a Knight of the British Empire (Sir).
When he backed out of opening a restaurant in Florida, several consultants claimed he owed them tens of thousands of dollars.
He dated professional wrestler, Gail Kim.
Why he might not be annoying
If you believe his reconstructed official biography, he joined the British Royal Navy at age 15.
While training U.S. Navy chefs, he spent time cooking at the White House.
There was a fan campaign to keep him as an on-air personality when Food Network decided to release him as a result of his deceptive biography.
He authored a couple of successful cook books.
