    (July 23, 1962- )
    Born in Paramus, New Jersey
Former columnist for 'American Spectator' (1992-97)
Author of 'The Real Anita Hill' (1993), 'The Seduction of Hillary Rodham' (1996), 'Blinded by the Right: The Conscience of an Ex-Conservative' (2001) and 'The Republican Noise Machine' (2004)
    Founded Media Matters (2004)
He went from liberal to conservative back to liberal.
He said he attended the University of California at Berkeley to piss off his conservative father.
Former colleagues at UC Berkeley's 'Daily Californian' noted he was prone to error and embellishment even then.
Much of his reporting on Anita Hill and Bill Clinton had been discredited even before he repudiated the stories in 'Blinded by the Right.'
He called Hill 'a bit nutty and a bit slutty.'
His repudiation of the right seems to have less to do with conscience and more to do with conservatives snubbing him after 'The Seduction of Hillary Rodham' failed to reveal any new dirt on the Clintons.
In reviewing 'Blinded by the RIght,' Slate noted 'The further one gets into Brock's book, the more one starts to suspect that Brock wasn't a liar for any larger cause, but simply a liar.'
Thanks to his reporting, circulation for the American Spectator quickly rose from 70,000 to 300,000.
He claimed that homophobia forced him to leave to conservative movement.
He apologized to Hill and the Clintons.
