    He has been called 'the moral conscience of the National Football League.'
    When former players became ill, he would find them doctors, pay their medical expenses and arrange help for their families.
    He was a dedicated father of 11 children.
    He cultivated a family atmosphere in a billion dollar business.
    He stayed with the players in dorms during training camp.
