Why National Basketball Association (NBA) might be annoying:

It is responsible for the WNBA.
    It gave us Dennis Rodman.
Many of its players are selfish and some of them get in trouble with the law.
Instead of simply giving the first draft pick to the team with the worst record, it has either a coin flip or a lottery to decide who gets it.
When a large-market team wins the draft lottery, some fans would think that the lottery was fixed.
Some fans also complain that superstars get better treatment from the referees.
It is as black as the NHL is white.
Like all the other major North American sports leagues, it has been guilty of overexpansion and overpaying its players.
Talent on each team has been diluted due to the overexpansion, and scoring has gone down significantly.
They had a lockout in 1999 due to a salary dispute.
The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers have together won more than half the titles.
Its playoffs last forever, taking nearly two months to complete.
Hip-hop artists wear NBA uniforms for a fashion statement.

Why National Basketball Association (NBA) might not be annoying:

It has possibly the most worldwide appeal of the four major North American pro sports leagues.
It offers spectacular dunks such as those from Julius Erving, Michael Jordan and Vince Carter.
It was the last major North American sports league to cancel games due to work stoppage.
It has very clever promos, such as the 'I Love This Game!' commercials or the ones where players try to seduce the NBA championship trophy.
It enjoyed a renaissance in the 1980's due to the rivalry between Magic Johnson's Lakers and Larry Bird's Celtics.
It continued through the 1990's thanks to the amazing play of Michael Jordan.
Its NBA on NBC theme song in the 1990's was extremely catchy.
It has a salary cap that is not as strict as the NFL's.
It uses basketball great Jerry West's silhouette as their logo.
Its 'Team Up' and 'Read to Achieve' programs have helped many inner-city children.
In an unprecedented move, it suspended all of its upcoming games after player Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID 19 (March 11, 2020).
