Musicians
    (1979- )
    Formed in Colchester, Essex, England
    Originally as The Lepers
    1981 line-up:
    Robbie Grey - vocals, guitar
    Gary McDowell - guitar
    Richard Brown - drums
    Mick Conroy - bass
    Stephen Walker - keyboards
    Recorded 'I Melt With You'
They are a one hit wonder.
They started as a punk/goth band.
When their 1984 follow-up album 'Ricochet Days' flopped, Walker and Brown were fired.
'I Melt With You' has been used in ads for Burger King and Ritz Crackers.
Grey reformed the band in 2001 after the Burger King ad proved successful, but nothing has come of it.
'I Melt With You' was featured on the movie soundtrack 'Valley Girl (1982)' and received heavy MTV rotation.
The single helped push the album to over a half million units sold.
The song is one of VH-1's all time one hit wonders.
'I Melt With You' has been remade by Bowling For Soup for their 2005 album 'Bowling For Soup Goes to the Movies.'
