He sometimes spells his middle name Dae as Day.
He had ambitions of become an investment banker.

He graduated NYU.
Despite having the same last name, he is not related to his 'Lost' co-star/wife Yunjin Kim
It wasn't until 'Lost' that he actually got to portray his own nationality, Korean.
