Why he might be annoying:

    He adjusted his hat frequently in at-bats earning the nickname 'Harry the Hat.'
    He played in the shadows of Stan Musial, Enos Slaughter and his brother Fred 'Dixie' Walker.
    He struck out in his first World Series career at-bat.
    He was the two-time NL Leader for committing errors as an outfielder (1943 and 1947).
    He managed two failed attempts to get the Pirates to win the NL Pennant in his first two years with the team.
    He was fired as the manager of the Astros despite having a good 1972 season with a 67-54 record.

    He served in the U.S. Army in World War II fighting in Germany, earning a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.
    He posted the hit that helped Enos Slaughter score the run that helped the Cardinals win the 1946 World Series in 7 games over the Boston Red Sox.
    His batting improved to win the NL batting crown after his trade to Philadelphia.
    This resulted him and his brother Dixie Walker to be the first siblings to each win a batting title.
