    When she was doing the show live in the 1963, her lines where suddenly preempted by the news of John F. Kennedy's assassination.
    Her appearances on the declined as her health deteriorated.
    She never won a Daytime Emmy for her work on 'As the World Turns.'
    She spoke the program's first lines: 'Good Morning, Dear.'
    Guinness Book of Wold Records recognized her as the longest-running character played by one actor on television.
    She sings mezzo-soprano.
    She was acknowledged with a Lifetime Achievement Daytime Emmy Award in 2004.
    She was married to one man for over fifty years.
