    Recorded the singles 'Lucky Number' (1979), 'Say When' (1979), 'New Toy' (1981) and 'Don't Kill the Animals' (with Nina Hagen, 1986)
    She ran away from home to London in her teens.
    She worked odd jobs ranging from 'Oriental' dancer in a cabaret to recording screams for horror films.
    Her hairdos and outfits tend to make her look like a Star Wars extra.
    She gave several benefit concerts for PeTA.
    After the success of 'Lucky Number,' she said, 'It's the curse of the hit record. Once you've had one hit record, people expect you to have them all the time.'
    She wrote the lyrics (without receiving credit) for the Cerrone hit 'Supernature.'
    Trouser Press wrote that she 'helped pave the way for female vocalists to feel free to adopt and project personae that are obviously feminine yet not socially stereotyped.'
    Thomas Dolby was a member of her touring band and wrote her single 'New Toy.'
    She said about the slow pace of her recording career, 'I have other priorities... I have two children, two girls, and it, by choice, takes up a lot of my time.'
