    She suffered from depression.
    Her poetry was not published until after she was dead (except for a few heavily edited ones).
    She never married and lived in her family house all of her life.
    She turned herself into a social outcast, not even allowing friends to visit.
    Despite having a tyrannical father and a submissive mother, she developed into a feminist.
    Her poems were so far ahead of their time, that they would not be published.
    Her letters flowed poetically.
