Why he might be annoying:

    He married his wife when she was 17 and he was 25.
    He initially dropped out of high school in the ninth grade.
    He didn't age very well.
    It is unknown whether his surname is actually Yeuell and Owen is his stage name.
    He had a longtime feud with his former bandmate Mark Herndon, going as far as publicly denouncing him by calling him a paid employee, instead of an official member of Alabama (gutless).
    He went as far as saying that the record label was the one who pressured him into Mark's inclusion into the band's promotional materials at the peak of their popularity.
    He tried to cover up his remarks years later by saying he had no ill will towards Mark (bullshit!!!!).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is cousins with his fellow bandmates Jeff and Teddy.
    He returned to high school and got his diploma afterwards.
    He earned a degree in English from Jacksonville State University.
    He owns a cattle ranch outside his hometown of Fort Payne, Alabama.
    He earned the Spirit of Alabama award for his charity work within the state.
    He is heavily involved with charities which benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital.
