Their novelty hit 'Backfield in Motion' made the Top 10 on both pop and R&B charts in 1969.
The hit has been used in several football highlight film soundtracks.
They proved they weren't just a novelty act by hitting the charts in 1972 with the power ballad 'Starting All Over Again.'
'Starting All Over Again' has been covered by Hall & Oates.
