    Growing up, he and his older brother Jamie ruined the wallpaper in their house from hitting balls indoors.
    After he first beat Jamie, he teased his brother relentlessly until Jamie hit him so hard that he lost a nail on his left hand.
    He dropped out of school to train in Spain.
    He was fined $2,500 for swearing at the umpire in a Davis Cup match (2005).
    He received a lot of hate mail after saying he would support 'anyone but England' in the World Cup (2006).
    He absolutely hates bananas.
    When he was eight, he and his brother survived the Dunblane school massacre by hiding under a desk in the headmaster's office.
    John McEnroe said, 'With Murray, the sky's the limit.'
    He explained that the 'anyone but England' comments were a joke after a columnist teased him over Scotland failing to qualify for the World Cup.
