Why they might be annoying:

They are a three-piece progressive rock/heavy metal band from Canada (Sound familiar?).
They had few hits and were known mainly as a 'cult' band (Again, sound familiar?).
For obvious reasons, they were frequently compared to Rush.
They continued touring even after Emmett left the band in 1988, and eventually broke up in 1993.
They were critically panned and were labeled a 'faceless' band.

Why they might not be annoying:

Despite the comparisons to Rush, in many regards they had their own style.
The three original members reunited in 2008.
They had several gold and platinum albums in Canada and the United States.
They were known for putting on excellent live shows.
They were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2008).
