TV Series
    (September 23, 1995-April 29, 2005)
    Drama series
Originally aired on NBC (1995-1996) and CBS (1997-2005)
David James Elliott as Harmon 'Harm' Rabb, Jr.
Catherine Bell as Sarah 'Mac' McKenzie (seasons 2-10)
Patrick Labyorteaux as Bud J. Roberts, Jr.
John M. Jackson as Albert Jethro 'A.J.' Chegwidden
Premise: The behind the scenes saga of the US Judge Advocate General's Corps
When it debuted, it was billed as 'Top Gun' meets 'A Few Good Men.'
It finished 79th in television ratings during its first season.
Consequently, NBC canceled the series leaving one episode unaired at the time.
Some real life JAG workers claim the show is outlandishly fantasized.
Despite being set in Falls Church, Virginia and Washington, D.C., the series was filmed in Southern California.
The banter between Harm and Mac was sometimes completely ridiculous.
Many of the naval ships were real life current or retired ships.
Upon its move to CBS, the ratings skyrocketed despite airing on Fridays.
As the series improved in plot, many military personnel lauded it for giving spotlight to an unknown branch of the military.
It birthed two spin-off series: 'NCIS' and 'NCIS: Los Angeles. '
It is essentially 'M*A*S*H' meets 'L.A. Law.'
