His father is Academy-award-winning composer Ernest Gold (won for the 1960 film 'Exodus') and his mother is singing actress Marni Nixon.
He is a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with Linda Ronstadt, Carly Simon, James Taylor, Art Garfunkel, Nicolette Larson, Loudon Wainwright III and Japanese pop singer Eikichi Yazawa.
'Lonely Boy' hit the Top 5 on Billboard's Singles chart in 1977.
He was one half of the '80s pop duo Wax whose single 'Bridge To Your Heart' hit #12 on the U.K. chart in 1987.
