Formed by Islamic clerics after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon

They are controlled by bearded men with funny hats.
They are fond of kidnappings, suicide bombing and hijacking airplanes.
They are propped up by money from Iran and Syria.
Their flag prominently features an AK-47.
They are widely believed to be responsible for the Beirut bombing that killed 241 U.S. Marines (1983).
Most of their members cannot tell the difference between America and Israel.
Their leaders openly say 'Death to America, Death to Israel' is not their slogan, it is their policy.
They are considered a terrorist organization by Western nations.

In Lebanon they are considered a legitimate political party.
They flip-flopped and decided to participate in the republic rather than overthrow it for a theocracy.
The political party wing of the movement supported popular social services.
Within Lebanon they are tolerant of Christians and Sunni Muslims (as long as they hate America).
