He is too intense.
Sportscaster Tim McCarver correctly said about him, 'if he hits a single he is not happy he wanted a double, if he hits a double he is not happy he wanted a triple, if he hits a triple he is not happy he wanted a home run and if he hits a home run it didn't go far enough.'
He has an extremely quick temper.
Why he might not be annoying
He is a true New York Yankee and refused to wear any promo hats except for the original colors.
Up until 2000, he would not even wear a World Series cap.
He is left handed.
He has played baseball with injuries, and never blamed a poor performance on it.
He donates to over 40 charities, mostly that help kids.
He has participated in 'The Make A Wish Foundation.'
He is an amateur drummer, and has performed behind John Cougar Mellencamp.
He is considered to have one of the best arms in the right fielder.
