Why he might be annoying:

    After a being fouled Ben Wallace shoved Ron Artest in the throat, causing on court tension.
    When the situation calmed down, he threw a cup of beer on Ron Artest.
    Ron Artest and a few other players went into the stands, he punched Ron Artest in the back of the head at least twice.
    He denied that he was the cup thrower, even though video footage clearly showed a guy in a white hat underhand-throwing the cup.
    He was wearing the same white hat when he made the television talk show rounds.
    A prosecutor recognized him on the video replays, as they were former neighbor.
    He spent three years in prison for physically assaulting a woman.
    When he threw the beer, he was on probation for DUI which prohibited him from drinking.
    His action rewarded his team, the Pistons, in that it lead to their opponent the Pacer's losing Ron Artest for the duration of the 2004-05 season.

Why he might not be annoying:

    Even though he threw the cup, Ron Artest retaliated by pouncing on the wrong fan.
    What was Ron Artest doing on the scorer's table, making him an easy target for thrown objects?
    While his cup toss was stupid, players shouldn't have gone into the stands and fought fans.
    Despite his idiocy in throwing the cup, he didn't go onto the floor or throw a chair at Pacer players, like a few other Detroit Piston 'fans' have done.
    His Detroit Pistons season tickets were revoked.
    He faces charges and may be tossed in jail and fined severely.
