Why he might be annoying:

He is a very slow player.
He has been known to fix his club grip as many as 20 times before hitting the shot.
He attacked Tiger Woods at the 2002 US Open, saying that play would have been called if the playing conditions for him were while Woods was on the course.
He has been known to loose his temper on the course.
His nickname is 'El Nino.'
He is an erratic driver.
In a public war of words with Tiger Woods, he made what many consider racially insensitive comments by saying he'd serve Woods 'friend chicken' during the U.S. Open (May 21, 2013).

Why he might not be annoying:

He dated Martina Hingis.
He is extremely charismatic and fun to watch.
At 19, he qualified for the Ryder Cup and nearly won the 1999 PGA Championship.
He is willing to take risks on the course.
He beat Tiger Woods in a made-for-TV event in 2000 and in 2003 teamed up with Phil Mickelson to beat Woods and Ernie Els.
He took a lot of abuse during the 2002 US Open, but endured it all and became a crowd favorite.
