    Born in Boston, Massachusetts
Frequently partnered with fellow comedian Avery Schreiber
Together, recorded the albums ‘In One Head and Out the Other’ (1965), ‘Burns & Schreiber’s Pure B.S.’ (1973) and ‘The Watergate Comedy Hour’ (1974)

Why he might be annoying:

Mayberry fans failed to accept his Warren Ferguson as a replacement for Don Knotts’ Barney Fife and he was written out of the series before a full season passed.
On ‘Fridays,’ he and Michael Richards staged an on-air fight with Andy Kaufman.
He was the voice of one of the Crash Test Dummies (specifically, Vince).

Why he might not be annoying:

He served in the Marines during the Korean War.
He and George Carlin were partners early in their careers (1958-62).
He was head writer for the first season of The Muppet Show and co-wrote ‘The Muppet Movie.’
Simpsons producer/writer Mike Scully called him ‘a personal comedy idol of mine’ and ‘still one of the funniest men alive today.’
