Due to her size (6'2), she did not move very well on the court.
Eight years after her retirement, she was given a wild card berth in the Wimbledon mixed doubles, and lost in the first round (2006).
She has been called the best player to never win a Grand Slam singles title.
At the 1984 Australian Open, she ended Navratilova's 74-match winning streak and her chance at a calendar-year Grand Slam.
She was named the WTA's Most Improved Player (1985).
After her tennis career, she earned a PhD in psychology.
