Gaming Console

The Resume

    (October 20, 1985-1992)
    Released in Japan (1985)
    Released in North America (1986)

Why Sega Master System might be annoying:

Its mascot was 'Alex Kidd,' an irritating little cartoon boy.
The rights to produce it were eventually sold to Tonka, a company with no prior experience in marketing a video game console.
Sega bought back the rights and released a sequel to the system that was the exact same thing, only it did not have a reset button. It never sold.

Why Sega Master System might not be annoying:

It sold extremely well in Brazil.
It was the only major challenge to the Nintendo Entertainment System's supremacy.
