Why he might be annoying:

He smoked marijuana on a private jet while he was with the Detroit Tigers.
Yankee fans tend to boo him when he pitches.
George Steinbrenner wanted him to pitch in the bullpen so Jose Contreras could become the fifth starter.
He was fined $1,000 for throwing at Carlos Pena head during an exhibition game against the Detroit Tigers (March 2003).
A bench clearing bawl occurred when he pitched for the Tigers. He called Royals' player Mike Sweeney an obscene name after Sweeney asked him to move the resin bag out of the batter's line of sight. Sweeney attacked the mound throwing a helmet at him.
He won the 'Jerk of the Week Award' for the week ending of August 18, 2001.
He is not very effective when pitching to left handed batters.
He has disappointed the fans despite winning more games each year.
During the 2003 season a Yankee fan placed Jeff Weaver on EBay, with an asking price of $1.00, he got no takers.
