Why they might be annoying:

Look at all of those members!
They paraded a cheesy Satanic image, and the cover of their debut album featured a pentagram.
They all took the names of demons from occult lore, and rarely went by their real names.
They have been changing members ever since they debuted in 1981.
In terms of musical prowess, the original band members (Cronos, Abbadon, and Mantas) couldn't play well.
Their albums had atrocious sound quality.

Why they might not be annoying:

They were influenced by Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and KISS.
Although the critics hated them, they basically gave birth to the thrash metal explosion of the 80s, paving the way for bands like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and countless others that emerged in the nineties.
Cronos made a guest vocal appearance on Cradle of Filth's 1996 release, 'Dusk... and Her Embrace.'
Despite the constant line-up changes, the band has remained a force in metal for over twenty years.
