Politician
    (February 17, 1962- )
Born in Woking, England, United Kingdom

She suffered post-natal depression, including panic attacks on public transportation and suicidal thoughts.
She ticked off party bosses over her willingness to tweet her criticisms of the Conservatives, such as calling Prime Minister David Cameron's inner circle 'far too posh, male and white.'
She complained, 'People are very abusive to MPs.'
The complaint seems extra ironic coming from someone whose main campaign theme was that she had held 'a real job' instead being a career politician.
She is an enthusiastic cyclist and took part in the 2014 RideLondon 100-mile bike race with her husband.
She was co-winner of The Spectator's Parliamentarian of the Year Award for opposing a Royal Charter on press regulation (2013).
When the Coalition for Marriage sent out flyers urging constituents to vote against her because she supported same-sex marriage, she tweeted, 'Thanks bigots, I'm proud of that vote!'
She gained a reputation for being independent minded, willing to vote against the Conservative Party line if she felt it would harm her constituents.
She asked, 'Is it a bad thing to have MPs voting for what they think is right? Isn't that Parliament working well?'
