He is only remembered for the Bond film.

During filming he didn't get on with co-star Diana Rigg.
He described Pierce Brosnan as 'that wimp' when he got the Bond part (1995).

Why he might not be annoying:

He announced after OHMSS that he wouldn't do any more Bond films, so Sean Connery returned.
He married former tennis player Pam Shriver.
