    (January 21, 1998- )
    Born in United States
    Internet viral phenomenon
    Resides in Frisco, Texas
Alex Lee, teenager formerly employed at Target
Dubbed #alexfromtarget by social media users
Was photographed bagging groceries by a girl who thought he was hot (Nov. 2, 2014)
Photo was 'Hashtagged' on Twitter and rapidly re-tweeted by other kids who thought he was hot, going viral overnight
Amassed 300,000 Twitter followers and 2 million Instagram followers within 24 hours
He was being groomed as the presumptive successor to Justin Bieber (only with better hair).
If we've heard it once, we've heard it for the umpteenth time - 'he's just... a cute guy who works at Target? Really?'
He had only been working at Target for three months prior to the photo being taken...
His sudden internet celebrity brought an unexpected rise in traffic to the Frisco Target, mostly consisting of girls seeking him out, resulting in his being relegated from cashier to the stockroom.
The fixation on his Twitter photo upended coverage of ISIS, the Ebola outbreak and the 2014 Mid-Term elections on major media outlets like CNN.
Skeptics have claimed that he is part of a publicity stunt concocted by Target's advertising team (several ad companies have also attempted and failed to take credit for the mass publicity).
He inspired both tawdry fan fiction and imitation spin-offs (#kieranfromtmobile, #dequanfromstaples, #stevefromstarbucks).
He claimed to have thought that the photo was fake when his manager showed it to him.
He has been obligated to wear his red Target shirt and badge in all public appearances.
He stated on YouTube that he intended to parlay his overnight celebrity into music recording, music videos, movie roles, and even an Alex from Target merchandising tour (Feb. 2015).
    He has seemingly perfect teeth.
He is adored by Ellen DeGeneres.
At the height of the #alexfromtarget craze, several fake Twitter accounts turned up claiming to be him.
The increased publicity forced him to quit his job at Target (Feb. 2015)
He has been subjected to jealous cyber-bullying and death threats, along with his girlfriend and family.
He had previously been subjected to bullying, as well as racism directed at his family (his stepfather is black).
He is a good-natured and polite kid who was thrust into the limelight via social media without having any say in it.
He would have no reason to be associated with #thughottie Jeremy Meeks if they didn't both prove the superficiality of boy crazy teenage social media groupies.
He has used his internet celebrity to promote various charities and anti-bullying initiatives, including the one founded by his mother to help orphans in third world countries, Just Love International.
He hopes to eventually go to Southeast Asia to help children who have been trafficked in the sex trade.
