Why he might be annoying:

    He struggled to find his footing in the early stages of his career, often rotating between the NHL and the minors.
    His career was plagued by injuries, and he missed the entire 1971-72 season as a result.
    He had 12 knee operations throughout the course of his career.
    He named his son after himself.
    Despite being considered one of the Penguins first star players, his contributions to the franchise are largely ignored.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He established himself as a full-time player when he went to Pittsburgh.
    He served as one of the first star players in the history of the Penguins franchise.
    He earned the Bill Masterton Trophy, after making a comeback from a serious knee injury a season earlier (1973).
    He, along with Syl Apps, Jr. and Jean Pronovost, formed a solid scoring line for the Penguins during the 1970's.
    He endorsed the NHL's decision to expand by six teams, as it provided him to play in the league full-time.
