    Invented and demonstrated the first mechanical Television, the Televisor (January 26, 1926)
    When the BBC and England refused to grant him a transmitting license to experiment with television, he threaten to ignore them and pirate his televisor (1928).
    He had trouble synchronizing sound and getting a picture, even when magnified more than a few inches.
    He is the first to demonstrate a recognizable moving image (although flickering - 1926).
    The press called for the dismantling or the BBC and be replaced by Baird Television Limited.
    The BBC held a grudge against Baird, so he made his transmission from Berlin (1929).
    He demonstrated color television (1928).
    In 1935, the BBC severed ties with Baird in favor of EMI's electronic TV.
