    If not for his performance as Scrooge, he'd probably be forgotten today.

    He was married to the same woman for over 40 years until his death.
    He had a very elegant voice.
    At the height of his career, he was one of the most popular actors in Britain.
    Many think his portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge is the greatest in film history.
